Knowing the Signs of UTIs: Early Detection Prevents Serious Health Issues

iStock_000058177800SmallSometimes the symptoms of a UTI, especially with our aging Mom’s, look a lot like the signs of dementia or Alzheimer’s.

She may display:

  • Confusion
  • Falling
  • Hallucinations
  • Dizziness
  • Agitation

If you think you or a loved one might be experiencing a UTI, take a look at these other common warning signs:

  • Urine that may appear cloudy
  • Strong smelling urine
  • Fullness in the rectum (for men)
  • Low-grade fever
  • Frequent need to urinate
  • Night Sweats
  • Bloody urine
  • Pressure in the lower pelvic area
